Games are better on proper game systems, Facebook is useless at the 10′ interface, and if you have all the streaming content in the world … what do you need with Netflix?
To get these features you need a more complex operating system that needs to divide it’s resources.
As a result, this takes away from the smooth uninterrupted delivery of streaming content.
Of course, you can use more complex computers to perform as a HTPC, but that always adds up to more power usage, more complexity and ultimately, more expense.
